2018 WSF NARFE PAC A250 - PAC Contribution Report - Quarterly Report uses data from 01/01/2018 to 06/30/2018 Prepared: 07/06/2018
NARFE-PAC Nov – Dec 17 and Jan 18
By October 1, Washington state chapters more than doubled the amount that had been submitted since Jun30, from $13,507 to $28,149. During the quarter, every chapter showed an increase, some even more than others. For example, Tacoma nearly quadrupled their donations over the June 30 report. Olympic Peninsula and Colville Valley chapters tripled theirs. Seattle, Emerald and Sno-King more than doubled theirs, while all the rest matched or exceeded their totals for the six months before. Congratulations to all – and keep those efforts and contributions coming!
Since the last quarter, five chapters each added one “sustainer”, increasing the statewide total from 33 to 38. Please encourage chapter members to become sustainers. Sustainer is a simple process to implement, spreads set levels of donations throughout the year, and allows NARFE to better plan funding levels. Some nice incentives, in this cycle a NARFE throw, are available.
Per our latest directory, 14 chapters have designated NARFE-PAC chairs, 7 do not. Each chapter president should work to ensure than the NARFE-PAC position is filled, and the NARFE-PAC chair is asked to speak in every newsletter and at each meeting.
Does your chapter have the current 2017-18 NARFE-PAC forms – Collections Form, Contribution Form and NARFE-PAC Brochures – on hand? They are all PDF documents, and can be printed out at home, or can be requested from leg@NARFE.org. NARFE-PAC pins can show others that you have made either one-time contributions or become a sustainer. When contributions or sustainer commitments are submitted, the NARFE-PAC office will send the appropriate pins to you. As Federation NARFE-PAC chair, I will have a small backup supply available.
This session, NARFE-PAC has received and supported campaign funding requests from seven Washington Legislators: Susan del Bene ($2,000), Dan Newhouse ($1,000), Derek Kilmer ($5,000), Pramila Jayapal ($1,000), Dave Reichert ($1,000), and Denny Heck ($1,000). As campaign season approaches, we will be receiving more requests and will be asking your participation in the recommendations made to NARFE-PAC.
